Introduction to Yoga
Designed as an introduction to the practices of yoga and also for those who would like to go at a slower pace. Classes are usually small and give students the opportunity to learn fundamentals correctly. Yoga is safe and enjoyable even at the start, and can help you to feel a deeper sense of wellness and peace.
Flight!/ Partnering Yoga
Move and breathe in relationship to yourself and another. Through a unique sequence of postures and balances, find in a steady center, strengthen your core while releasing strain, open your lower back and discover great flexibility and freedom. Go beyond that which you can do alone. Flight! creates an expanded state of awareness through sensitivity, balance, trust, breath, and focus. Come alone and be matched with a partner in class or bring a friend and work together. All levels are welcome.
As taught by Yogi Bhajan, Kundalini Yoga works with prana (breath), asana (posture), mantra (sound), and dyana (meditation). Using centuries old techniques, and through continual practice, Kundalini Yoga students have the opportunity to refine all aspects of yoga training. Yet this precise healing system can be experienced by anyone with very good results. Open your heart, renew your spirit and develop greater strength, flexibility, and endurance for life.
We hold one hour, ninety minute, and longer sessions, each with a Kundalini Yoga technique to help you attune to your Self. Meditation classes address both the challenges and rewards of developing a practice, and coaching is offered along the way. Silent and guided meditations are part of every session. Guided meditations, into states of deep relaxation, support healing and elevate consciousness.
Vinyasa Yoga moves dynamically from asana to asana (pose to pose) with constant attention to breath. Focus is on balance, power, fluidity, flexibility and alignment. Vinyasa frees the body of impurities like stiffness and muscle tension, leaving practitioners feeling clear, clean and energized. We hold both beginner and open level classes. Open level Vinyasa is challenging, and appropriate for those with prior experience.
