agni: kundalini yoga intensive

A dynamic course of study and contemplation: Through balanced insight, wiser investigation and examination of the sacred texts of Yoga, Agni creates an environment in which to uncoil. The Intensive embraces a healing approach and is joyfully presented for skilled practitioners, teachers, therapists and energy workers of all traditions. Kundalini kriya yoga, beautiful asana practice and pure meditation is offered with close attention to the principals of both inner & outer alignment. Led and designed by Lea Kraemer. With Joslyn Lawrence, student mentor. Holistic doctors and notable spiritual practitioners will be invited to lecture and lead discussions throughout this course.

Classes cover: Physical alignment and asana, holistic anatomy, the pranic body, nadis, the subtle body, chakras, the mind and the soul. Study the science of yoga through Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, The Kriya Yoga Upanishad, Vijnana Bharaiva and other historical texts, as well as Yogi Bhajan's The Mind, a more recent text. Agni is for those souls who wish to practice with others of a similar thirst.

Agni was held for the first time in NYC in September of 2000. Our focus is on the power of Prana and the grace of Sri Kundalini.

Graduates of this program are varied, from Ashtanga, Kundalini and Vinyasa Yoga teachers, Reiki healers, physical therapists, psychologists and Yoga practitioners of many traditions.

Graduation and certification is dependent on good attendance, gainful participation and successful completion of the course work. Students in Agni should take at least two related classes a week. These should be documented but are up to the student’s discretion as to the style and subject. Homework requiring at least a few hours of contemplation will be given for each weekend. A written experience is given on the last day and is due within 30 days. The “physical exam” is the group offering of a Day of Yoga open to the public. All proceeds will be donated to a charity pre-selected by the group. Some mentoring is also a part of this experience.

Course fee: One-third of the total fee is requested to hold your space. You may make arrangements for a payment plan. $3200 – pre-registered $3575 – with a monthly payment plan Space permitting, individual weekends may be attended with prior permission for $300/ each.
